Lesson 3: The (almost) untapped market of budget-friendly domains
This email is a part of a free course.
Hey, Domain Hunters! 👋
Today, I want to share where I buy auctioned domains. It’s Namecheap. And, don’t worry, I won’t be sending any affiliate links.
Expired domains vs. Auctioned domains
Auction domains are those that current owners or registrars decide to sell before they expire. These can be goldmines because their history and SEO value often remain intact.
Expired domains, on the other hand, are those that have been abandoned and are up for grabs again.
While both have their perks, auction domains often carry that extra oomph that can make a significant difference in value.
The problem
Most domain hunters bid on domains at GoDaddy. While the domains are good, there are too many buyers, which means higher prices for you.
Namecheap auctions are not popular for one simple reason. Even though the domains there are also good, the user interface is dog shit. It doesn’t allow for proper sorting or filtering.
The solution
Namecheap publishes a .csv database of their auctioned domains daily with all the data including their Ahrefs DR, age, number of TLDs taken, Google volume for the keywords, etc.
3 years ago I’ve coded a Python script that sifts through all available domains on there and picks out the best high-value ones using some smart algorithms I developed.
I've bought over 2,000 domains and made a lot of money using this script. I’m not selling the script, but I will be including all the best domains from Namecheap auctions in the daily emails from now on.
This way, you get direct access to top picks without having to wrestle with Namecheap's god-forsaken interface.
So, why share this now? Because I believe in the power of giving back. I've built my portfolio, and it's time to help others do the same.
And, again, no affiliate links!
If everything goes according to plan, you will get a mind-blowing daily email tomorrow :)
cheers,
Amber
